Johannesburg Mayor Geoff Makhubo dies after contracting Covid-19

(Bloomberg) – The mayor of Johannesburg, South Africa’s financial hub and largest metropolis, has died after contracting the coronavirus.

Geoff Makhubo took workplace in December 2019 after the ruling celebration wrested management of the town from an opposition coalition.
